Our dimensional metrology and measurement consulting service focusing on 3D metrology is the result of years of experience in the field utilizing traditional and emerging technology. Each IMTEC engineer or technician has over ten year's experience in solving alignment problems utilizing optical tooling, theodolite systems, total stations and laser trackers.
Primary technologies employed are:
- Total Station Measuring Services - Spherical and Cartesian coordinate measurements using Sokkia electronic Total Stations with SpatialAnalyzer measurement software.
- Laser Alignment Services - Laser Tracker with SpatialAnalyzer software.

The Sokkia NET Series/SpatialAnalyzer 3-D measuring system is the cornerstone of our measurement services and product sales. Depending on the environment, geometry and "work zone" (L x H x W) of the measurement project, this system has documented and proven precision of 0.1 mm (0.004") to 1.0 mm (0.039"). Absolute ranging precision is <0.8 mm (0.032") at up to 100 Meters distance is N.I.S.T. traceable. Kinematic and adhesive retro-reflective targets feature "0" offset (prism constant) when used with this instrument. Benefits Many companies provide an "inspection service", whereby they perform measurements for you and give you the data to interpret or analyze. We are a full service engineering company who prides ourselves in giving you the type of data you desire in the format you require. Our reports include a narrative of the project objectives, expected precision, methods employed, conclusions and statistics if required. We have completed projects ranging from 1-day to several months duration. Although most of our measurement projects are performed by a single engineer, we can (and have) supplied two to four man teams.
