Shipbuilding & Repair
IMTEC has supported the Shipbuilding and repair industry for over twenty years. Following are some of the projects we have performed. In recent time, we've performed metrology service in this industry in Chile, Mexico, Japan, Singapore and the Philippines and nearly every first and second tier shipyard in the USA including Hawaii and Alaska.
LCS1 USS Freedom and LCS3 USS Fort Worth

| In 2009, IMTEC was awarded a second contract to again provide CSA services for the second Freedom Class Littoral Combat Ship, Fort Worth. | Early in 2006, IMTEC was awarded the contract to provide Combat Systems Battery Alignment services for the Nations first Littoral Combat ship, Freedom. Services continued through September 2008 when sea trials began in Lake Michigan. | Lockheed Martin – Prime contractor, Gibb & Cox Architects and Marinette Marine – Builders. | In December 2010 the Navy awarded Lockheed Martin a contract for 10 additional Freedom Class LCS vessels. |

In December, 2009, IMTEC Group was contracted to provide Combat System Battery alignment services for four each Egyptian Navy Fast Missile Craft class ships by Lockheed Martin, Manassas, VA. The ships are currently being built by VT Halter Marine, Pascagoula, MS. The contract runs through 2014. The Egyptian FMC program is being managed as a foreign military sale by the Auxiliary Ships, Small Boats and Craft Program Office (PMS 325) in the U.S. Navy’s Program Executive Office, Ships. US Navy T-AGS Vessels

Since 2007 IMTEC has provided metrology services for adding Kongsberg Multibeam echo sounders, ADCP and additional transducers to the T-AGS fleet. The objective for this project was to characterize the vessel and locate various transducers, antennas and echo sounding equipment. This is an Annual project performed at SSK heavy Industries, Sasebo Japan

The LCPL. Roy M. Wheat was modified from a Ukranian-built former Soviet auxiliary ship that was purchased by the Navy in 1997.
